The Cage
Why the "Cage"? It's kind of macho terminology for such nice un-macho people. Calling our box the "Cage" is our way of establishing a training identity for CF Los Gatos. The chain link fence that half surrounds CFLG serves as a reminder that this space is reserved for you; your training, your fitness, your growth. It's a reminder that every time you enter it, you are in for the fight of your life. Not in the two men enter, one man leaves, Charles Bronson, UFC, death match sense, but rather that your mental, spiritual, and physical fortitude will be dramatically tested. The Cage is filled with blood, tears, and rivers of sweat. Men and women have been broken here. They have been left prone on the floor with no thought but for their next ragged breath. And when they muster the energy to stand and look down at the ghostly glistening image of themselves left on mats, they will have conquered. They are more powerful, healthier, fitter than when they entered barely an hour before. They have been reborn out of the crucible, out of the Cage.
The Cage will test you, and for those who respond, it will change them.
